LEMON at the International Astronautical Congress 2022 in Paris!

The 73rd International Astronautical Congress (IAC) will take place on 18-22 September 2022 in Paris, France.

LEMON will be represented at this global space event by the Project Coordinator, Myriam Raybaut from ONERA, with the oral presentation entitled ''Lidar Emitter and Multi-species greenhouse gases Observation iNstrument (LEMON): advances on a multi-species differential absorption Lidar system''.

This presentation is based on the paper under the same title co-authored by several LEMON partners, i.e., ONERA, CNRS, KTH, SpaceTech, Fraunhofer ILT, Innolas Lasers and UiB.

This will be an important dissemination opportunity in front of a key audience made of aeronautic and space engineers, including representatives from Agencies such as ESA and CNES.

Furthermore, in the framework of the collaboration between LEMON and two other H2020 projects, HOLDON and SCARBO, the three Project Coordinators agreed to jointly present their respective project results within the IAC 2022 session "B1.3 Earth Observation Sensors and Technology", that will be held on the 20th of September 2022. The collaboration between the three project is based on the synergies between the different Earth Observation systems developed in each of these EU-funded research projects.

This cooperation is particularly interesting for LEMON in view of its roadmap towards future space integration release, in which, among others, we envisage the possible coupling of LEMON instrument with specific detectors, e.g. the one developed within HOLDON. Synergies in the use of active and passive instruments such as SCARBO instrument could also be explored in the future.

The joint LEMON-SCARBO-HOLDON presentations at the IAC 2022 will strenghten the dissemination impact of the project results towards a key audience, as well as enable the project Coordinators to meet, have a better understanding of their respective projects, and exchange on possible future cooperation opportunities, e.g., under Horizon Europe.
